A laboratory fume hood is a device that allows the extraction of toxic vapours from products used during handling. Its primary function is to protect the manipulator. The vapours are extracted from the working volume and then either filtered or discharged to the outside.
It is a fume hood equipped with side walls, but also with a front wall (almost always guillotine) and a bottom damper allowing the high and low extraction of the vapours. It offers the best protection for the operator and the environment.
